Special ribbons/medals, meaning, etc?

Noticed some Militias or Units get rewarded, out of the blue or just because the lads finished training with a medal. What's behind it, how, when, etc.
are units rewarded?

That remark opens some wounds. They trained up massacring Immigrant wagon trains and starving Indians. The had a record of atrocities from the Mexican War too.
They were quite deadly. To the unarmed and peaceful they were deadly. Then they mutilated the bodies and tried to say it was Indians and went off in search of other victims.
If they deserve a medal it would be a deaths head and a butchers cleaver.

i allways thought that medal or similiar icon at that place just show current units exps. mayby that units was made with nice starting exps.

Really what it is, is that unit seems to be bugged. It should not be upgrading and certainly not that fast.
It does show experience, experience the unit shouldn’t have.

There are a few alien things going on... clone armies of garrison militias, the medal thing, units being miraculously trained by the jedi order, partial mobilization stating (for the US) that coloured troops being used (in Jan '62) and so on. It's gonna be a hell of a week for Philip and the chaps

If those black troops were in Kansas, it was not a bug. Kansas raised black militia units long before the Feds did. They were mostly freed men or escaping slaves with the refugees of the IT.

the medal is only the experience level beyond golden star. Not a real medal thus.
As for militia upgrading with tons of XP, this is a know bug, we will hopefully fix it soon.
