Public Beta Patch 1.02

Hello everyone.
In anticipation of the imminent release of DLC #2 (The Cantabrian Wars 29BC), and the soon to come "Birth of Rome", we have brought new changes and important modifications to the game, to improve content and gameplay and also feedback from the playing community since game launch.
This patch is now public beta. When it proves satisfactory, it will become official

Patch Content
Scripts
- Increased depot level of Trapezus and Eupatoria (MS87)
- reduced level of auto experience gain of units
- corrections in some flavour events (MS87 and GMW75 scenarios)
- trade events regeneration for PON faction corrected (GMW75 and MS87 scenarios)
- several textstrings corrections
- New POP leaders for Marian side in MS87 setup
- Fixed a issue with IA Choice in Severus Multi Choice Event.
- Storms: reduced the likeliness and added some better protection to ships (reduced losses)
Code
- engine update (fixes the issues of ranged combat in cities assaults (terrain will be the structure, not the outlying terrain) and the immortal legatus.
Database
- Out of home penalties removed for units (kept for some leaders) -
still under evaluation ,might be changed a bit again before next game release
- Fixed Leaders Casualties issue ( Less 3 stars leader kill during battles).
- New DB with lots of new leaders added (with extra space reserve for future Mods and usage)
Graphics
- New pictures for leaders and units added (modding)
- Added new cityscape sprites with fortification level indicated (for easier spotting of level value)

I need to re-check the relation levels, they are the cause of the issue I believe..

Marius vs Sulla scenario. July 87 BC. Pontus (AI controlled) invades Africa. Is there any way to prohibit AI for doing this?

We can't prohibit but try to strongly incite the AI against it... Will alter the AI file accordingly

It appears as though the patch has caused some database/graphics errors in the spartacus scenario..Anyone else having this problem? I installed 1.02b and bought/added the Cantabrian wars dlc in that order. and now....

Same problem here.
So everybody who has bought the Spartacus scenario (I preordered AJE and got it back then) will get the new version by mail?

I see a couple of values were in the OLD GameLogic.opt but are missing in the new one:
cbtLdrCasuDiceSides = 500 // Nb of sides for the casualty dice for rank 1 leaders, at the end of combat (twice as low for rank 2, rank 3 excluded)
cbtSkipAssaultFirstRound = 1 // New rule - never allow Assault on first round when is set to 1(allows Hit & Run tactics better)
Is that OK ?
Also, it looks like legions are not building ballistae anymore during siege....

Yep you are correct HanBarca, the legions are not building siege engines anymore, it says they have in the turn message log but they dont physically appear in the army box... a beta bug?
I have saves if needed..

yep, I also preordered version AJE, same problem in the Spartacus scenario,

i have same problem with the spartacus scenario and with the pompey and cesar scenario,with cesar legion sieged massalia have roman archers cavalry.
i think that the beta pacth 1.02 everything has uncontrolled and has units cards are mix in all scenarios.
i buy the DCL cantabrian wars and installed the pacth 1.02.

I started up the Vespasian scenario with 1.02 beta and the same thing is happening, I moved Vespasian to lay siege to Jerusalem, it states that siege engines where built in the turn message log but none appear in the army box... strange..

Arcathias and 35,000 Pontics just stormed the beaches of Tunis. Could the Numidian armies be drawing the AI across the sea? It seems odd considering they don't have any objectives in that direction.

Well, we could add an event that makes Numidia at war with Pontus if the latter invades Africa. However, in patch 1.02, the Pontic AI has "lost" interest in Africa, so it should not happen again...or so we hope

same here, I preorder AJE to get the Spartacus, and still don't receive email now, I already PM Philthib , I think fix magic will happen soon

I got it yesterday, a few minutes after emailing him. I'm sure you'll have it as soon as possible (it's Sunday, you know).

So it's not sent automatically to people who preordered and we all have to ask for it separately? Not the best way to handle such things, especially if there'll be future database changes and we buy more DLCs. It's going to get really complicated to ask new versions for each and every DLC scenario after updates.
