I'm in the process of buying Alea Jacta Est (wonderful game and one of the hystory periods I like much) for the sake of completing my AGEOD wargames collection - but before, I would like to know if 1GB of RAM it's enough to run the game on a pc under Windows 7 operative system.
thank you in advance for your ever precious help !

Probably not, I run on a 2gb net book and it struggles albeit win 8.1.
RAM is cheap if your PC can upgrade.
But as Group Captain Lionel Mandrake, you should be able to improvise

I am not sure if it is enough. My desktop has 16Gb and my laptop has 4Gb, never tried it with less, but I think you may run with some troubles with less than 2 Gig (In the manual, 2Gig RAM is listed as the minimum...)
Are you running other Ageod games with just 1 Gig ? Which ones ?
Regards

thank you, Franciscus !
in fact with only 1GB of RAM I can run decently on my laptop only "Great Invasion" and "Birth of America".
I tried also to play AGEOD American Civil War [for which the minimum indicated in the manual is 1GB] the last year, but after having applied the last patch it become so slow and unreliable that I was force to give-up..

probably moving back to XP should help but I can't at the moment..
buying more RAM seem the only way, but I'm not an expert, so I don't know if my laptop can upgrade or not.
but as Group Captain Lionel Mandrake, I will surely be able to find a workable solution.
with or without the gracious help from the Coca Cola Company..
