Multiplayer game

Hello all!
I have purchased "AJE base version" game today, partly because of the multiplayer. We can read on Ageod game webpage that this game is for "For up to 3 players".
But, when i arrive on the starting page in-game, i can't see any multplayer solution: why ???
I prefer to ask this question before i advise a friend to buy it for multiplayer ;-) . So, thank you for the information!
