Frequent crashes

Hi,

i got several crashes while gaming. I can say an average of one crash each 3-4 turns.
Often they are related to memory shortage but i run the game on a 16Gb laptop. I tried to reduce memory use to 50% but memory leak crashes occured again.
Other crashes seems related to "failing found media info" things or something similar. Log for my last crash below:

11:43:39 (Reporting) TSlaveThing.SetBitmap: Unable to find MediaInfo for image: GrpInd_Entrench.png
11:43:39 (Reporting) TSlaveThing.SetBitmap: Unable to find MediaInfo for image: GrpInd_EntrenchArty.png
11:43:39 (Reporting) Starting Hosting Phase Turn 6
11:43:39 [Error ] THost.LoadHostFile Exception caught: Impossible d'ouvrir le fichier "C:\Games\Alea Jacta Est\AJE\Saves\Francesco\Francesco.hst". Impossibile accedere al file. Il file è utilizzato da un altro processo
11:43:39 [Error ] THost.AbortProcess Hosting aborted while performing LoadHostFile
11:43:39 [Error ] THost.AbortProcess Hosting aborted while performing PreHostProcess

This crash happened after my game reload after another crash. I had to do again all my moves and then i clicked to END TURN and the game went to main menu. Then i clicked again on continue game and i got the above crash.
At the moment i think my save game is corrupted, because each time i try to load it i end in the above loop.

Edit: i found backup folder in save folder. I'll make a try to restore at least the last backup files.

Edit2: oh, by the way, very very good game, congrat but please fix technical issues :D

EDIT3: PLaying atm alway 4 imperators scenario as Vitellian faction.
Hardware: Intel quadcore IvyBridge I7, 16Gb Ram, Geforce 650M 2Gb (last nvidia driver installed), Samsung 830 SSD, Win 7.

Please check:

- if you have an integrated chipset graphic driver besides your GeForce, Windows may be using by default the integrated graphics and not the GeForce. That has happened to other users with recent and powerful laptops (see for example: http://www.ageod-forum.com/showthread.php?25819-Crashing-at-startup&p=249010&viewfull=1#post249010)
- UAC disabled.
- Game installed in a location different from C:\ProgramFiles
- Check if all AJE files are exempted from checking by your antivirus software

Sorry for the inconvenience

I already forced my laptop to use NVDIA, by nvidia settings panel.

- UAC disabled.

UAC was already disabled

- Game installed in a location different from C:\ProgramFiles

I let the installer to install game where it wished, i.e. in default location. It intalled the game in C:\Games\Alea Jacta Est\etc etc etc

- Check if all AJE files are exempted from checking by your antivirus software

First time i heard this for a game or, generally speaking, for an installed application. I can check if and how i can accomplish this but, to be honest, i don't think this is a standard behaviour for an application.

1 hour and half ago another crash for "file already in use by OS" thing. It occurs usually at the end of the turn execution, but in MainLog txt the last rows are:

15:04:38 (Reporting) LoyaltyOnCaptureCity Region Eboracum belong to GrandArea Theater_Britannia
15:04:38 [Critical ] THost.GenerateTurnFiles Exception caught: Mémoire insuffisante
15:04:38 [Error ] THost.PostHostProcess Exception caught: Mémoire insuffisante DebugStep: 450

Is disabling UAC required for this game not to crash? I never knew this, and have been experiencing frequent crashes in AJE.

Many users don't have to do that, some may have to lower their settings a notch only. Also be sure to not install anything in c:\Program Files, install the game in another hard drive or partition if possible.
