Back at playing AJE... Caesar against Pompey

Returning to the game after a long hiatus....
Playing the Caesar-Pompey Civil War. There was a way in which Caesar could rapidly conquer Spain. What was it? Destroying all the mobile forces of the enemy? Or was it conquering certain strategic points?
Any ideas?

Hmm, I love questions which make me reach deep into my memory, kind of 'I don't know.' But, it is a question of city occupancy. I think about four key strategic cities. I will sleep on it.
