Does AJE have a windows mode? It would nice to quickly switch out of AJE to another window using tabs at the bottom of the screen. Currently, AJE takes up the entire monitor screen and to exit, I have been hitting Alt-Tab. However it often takes 20-30 seconds to exit-very slow and sometimes multiple efforts to get out of AJE without shutting the entire game down.

So any windows mode for AJE which I may have missed?

I'd like to know as well. I think maybe changing the screen resolution and then using windowed mode might allow for a smaller window without having to alt-tab, but I haven't tried that yet. Kinda hard to enjoy playing in 'windowed' mode when it's still essentially a full screen window.

You can open the Age Settings Tool ( AJE game root directory. For example K/Games/AJE).

Then clik on display tab and choose Standard ( i.e windowed mode).

Exit and it should work.

Wow. I've been playing AGEOD games for years and I just figured it out. To get it to work I had to change the settings to standard, then maximized with borders and at a resolution lower than the desktop settings I was using. Set it at 1024x768 32bit... worked a charm. Thanks.

Worked. I started up the AgeSetting.exe and then went into Display and then clicked standard, then clicked fixed resolution, with border. Worked great. Thanks!
