Naval Trade Income Event

I am playing the First Punic War as Carthage. I received a scripted event message concerning Naval Trade Income. The message concerned the commercial fleets. It said " at least 2 commercial fleets would already bring a substantial profit. An optimal benefit would be reached by four fleets".

I looked under scripted events and there seem to be 3 separate events based on the subunit count in Mare Interum Commercius. Less than 20 = 200 income; between 21 and 50 = 300 income; greater than 50 = 500.

In Mare Interum Commercius there are 3 merchant fleets each with 20 ships for a total of 60.

I am only receiving 200 income each time. I thought I would have received 500.

Do I need to add more merchant fleets to get to "four fleets" and if so how do you do that. There must be something I'm overlooking.

Thanks

Joe

Hi

The event you are referring to, occurs only once per year (in February). So, each year in February you should receive an extra income based on the number of ships you have in the MTB. If that is not working, please post a save game of the respective turn plus the backup1, to be checked.

Also, the message makes it seem like you can control the number of fleets. Is there some way to add more fleets?

Not at the moment. That is one of the issues.
