Any way to slow down the Battle Circle, besides the maximum delay setting?

I have come to really enjoy the battle circle and the information it provides as a battle is being fought.
However, even with the maximum delay setting, it races by so fast that I miss a lot, and wind up being frustrated.
So I ask, is there a way to slow it down more?

Good idea, maybe for nowadays computer this game option is no longer enough.

Could all the battle messages like "There is a lull in the battle, Crassus is trying to maneuver around the enemy, etc." be incorporated into the battle results window at the end of the turn?

Both are great suggestions.

This is a great Idea, one that would add so much to the immersion factor of the battles.

Yes, excellent suggestions.

Yes, please try to give those little messages more screen-time and a more prominent position. I like to see them, but I usually miss them all because the battle goes so quickly; I think it would add a lot to the after-action report if I could read about the stages involved in the batte.

Seeing the battle messages added together with the battle results would be neat. As it is it just moves too fast. On the other hand I really don't want every battle to move at snail's pace just so I can read them all. Some kind of summary would be neat.

Ben, maybe the devs could give us a choice.

Have you given this any thought, devs?

It seems there is a bug where battle delay is not working that well, but except for this bug fixing, it is not really feasible to add up the messages to the report, this is all old interface that will be replaced in AACW2, so that would be a waste of effort, sorry.

I assume this means that AACW2 will have a much improved battle display, and that we can hope to see it added to some other or you magnificent games, such as PON?

(1) is true, (2), I won't swear on it, as it would mean redoing a lot of interface. Why not if we can do a major patch though, but no promises.

Patching that feature into earlier games would make those games much more attractive to the new people who will buy AACW 2, so I respectfully suggest you give it serious consideration.
And now that PON has come home, it would be a sin against art not to add it to that masterpiece. And I beg you to do it, at least for PON.

I can understand that, but then, people mostly expect from PON shorter processing time, and this is just huge to do. I got the message though!

I'd like to see the battle details, too, but don't let redo'ing the UI interfere with, or slow down, your newest projects.

Thank you, Pocus. I know in my heart that you will come through, when time and circumstances permit.
