No support from Lagid Egypt

I am playing the Pompeian side in the Civil War. Having evaded the big battle till 45 BC, I am now seriously trounced. My Persian Allies are switching sides (or dead). There is still one option left: I can go to Egypt, and try to get their troops on my side.
The option is "Support from Lagid Egypt". The text: High risk option. If it succeeds (40%) Pompeius moved to Alexandria . Gains of --- and troops. If it fails Pompeius is eliminated. ---- .To convince the young king Pompeius must travel in person to Alexandria.-----". There are no costs mentioned.
I took this option for three turns running now, but it did not fire, not did Pompey get eliminated.... As I read the text Pompey will be placed in Alexandria when the option fires. You can read the last part (which I take as descriptive only) as Pompey has to travel to Alexandria in the game, before the option fires. That would be contrary the first line though.... .

Is this option bugged? It the text unclear and do I have to move Pompey to Alexandria before the option fires? Are there other, hidden, requirements that I don't meet?

We need a save to investigate why the option does not work (and the corresponding script report)

Got my backup files here...what script report do you need?
I attached the files from the last backup, and the scriptreport from the previous turn - I think those go together?

Thanks Bohémond.

It is unfortunate that non of those conditions are made explicit in the pop-up text which you get mousing over the option. They are not really obvious. I suspect the option only appears when the conditions are met - I lost Rome ages ago, I lost a big battle, dropping my morale from 115 to 78, and Chalcidis might have been in enemy hands for a turn, or at least not Pompey controlled (without regular troops). I have to look that one up.
The costs are not mentioned either, as far as I could see - I looked specifically for it, as I was low on EP, and wanted to do something else.
