Alea jacta est beta

We are about to recruit some
more Betas for further testing. A post will anounce that very soon...
The purpose of this new beta test will be very simple: play, play, play and play....
We want to see if the scenarios are interesting to play and fun. We also see if some balance tweaking is needed. So the betas job will be to report annalysis of their own games, remarks, feelings, comments...and suggestions. And of course whatever bug that may remain...
Warning
However, at this stage, NO DESIGN CHANGE will be accepted or made. Criticism and remarks will be duly noted and evaluated, but the time will NOT be to change the game designs and concepts. Members recruited for the beta will have to acknowledge this fact beforehand...
Wait for the next post soon...

You can ask for me, but as usual I'll only play the tutorial, look after DPI problems (on my Win XP pc), and see whether you kept the weird/wrong command texts everybody is used to (not me..).

I have registered after years lurking the forum only to ask...
If you ara not going to accept design changes, that means the realese date is near?

Continue the good work guys, i think you are some of the best wargame makers.

Not far indeed...it mostly depends on how "efficient" the Betas will be...

Who needs patience in a beta?
And yes, I would love to help as well.

Hi Philippe, I am very interested to join the beta because Roman Empire (and Byzantine Empire) history is very attractive to me. I am reading right now Caesar: Life of a Colossus of Adrian Goldsworthy and I think that Roman Civil Wars are in some manner more interesting than Punic Wars.

I'd rather get the game in published form and not during the Beta. Ruins the surprise, for me.

Dear Philippe,
after being a beta tester of "Pax Romana" (Yes, I still remember this one!), I would be happy to be a beta tester of Alea Jacta Est.
best,

[...]
Whose blood is fet from fathers of war-proof!
Fathers that, like so many Alexanders,
Have in these parts from morn till even fought
And sheathed their swords for lack of argument:
Dishonour not your mothers; now attest
That those whom you call'd fathers did beget you.
Be copy now to men of grosser blood,
And teach them how to war[...]
always this nasty word....PATIENCE
havent you read the comment to the linekd RSS site, people are desperately trying to throw their money to your feet for AIE (they also corect that Romans didnt know the letter J)
