Patch 1.01 Release Candidate 5

Hi,

Here is a new release candidate. In comparison to RC3/4, it has:

* no more annoying message when processing or loading a turn
* some graphics were misplaced, should be at the right place now
* all latest fixes in scripts and events
* 2 bugs and some minor data/events fixes corrected

Is this "all inclusive"? I don't know what to add anymore! Do I have to edit any files with this?

Very interesting campaign started a few hours ago. I appreciated the cost in PE which means that you can't do everything each turn :thumbsup:
Unfortunately a fatal crash :( happened. Very frustrated here ; hope that i will be able to continue with the next patch.
The Save had my latest move, just launch the turn...

It worked at the 3 rd try :D The 2 previous times after the battle of Azov, i had the message about the log Txt and save to send to ageod support and crash. Ok i continue after " Un Village Français " :thumbsup:

I corrected many french text errors.
It is the LocalStrings_RED file from RC3 patch, that I edited.
It will be good if RC4 did not already changed it: It seems ok, I compared the files using PSPad, and the new RC4 one seem the same as RC3 file.
In \Revolution under Siege\RUS\Settings folder, remove LocalStrings_RED, and save it somewhere else. Then unzip and put my file in the folder.
Launch the game, go in 'Nouveau Jeu': If you see exactly the scenario name "2. Didacticiel 2: Chaîne de commandement" (instead of Didacticiel: La chaîne), the game has taken my patch. If not, quit and restart the game until that's good.
For sure devs can take the file for future patch release.
I may continue the corrections. Edit: Continued in this 02 zip

The RUS team really doesn't understand what week-end means. Normal people use it to stop working and have some fun. And then there are those that make AGE games ...

Not yet; working on, but first I'm fixing remaining bugs and revise AI in other scenarios. ETA: the end of this week. :)

Out of lack of a better place -

I have a problem with Mannerheim in my Southern whites campaing. I can't make him an army commander for some reason which hinders creation of armies for the french in Ukraine and for the Don cossacks (as I don't want to take hits of higher seniority)

Polish-soviet war scenario is like night and day from previous version :thumbsup: AI is much much better. in Last version Soviet troops was nearly marching without commanders .

In screenshot ,Patriot ability and Recruiting officer has same symbol.

Edit:Actually in Kolchak scenario E:K miller has also recruting officer ability in tooltip but has patriot ability symbol.

I have smashed the soviet forces in the deep south with almost no losses. And finland is -10 NM (which with the +1NM/turn for not taking the recognize independence is not that much).

Here's the save (plus 2 turns back)

Hum. So you haven't selected first the reconnaissance option ( and lost 40 NM....). If o, it's a bug I will fix ASAP. Activation of minor should come after this option is chosen.... :D

it's possible to make the balts join too without the -40NM penalty. Anyhow any idea why I wasn't able to make Mannerheim Army commander??

we will produce a RC5 for tomorrow, because there were yet one CTD and some secondary fixes to the events. And Athena has yet some problems with unit production I'm fxing.

Next step will be achieving AI for Drang and improve RAI here and there fr others scenarios. :)

I reported this in the RC3 thread, but in case it didn't get noticed : a new bug or glitch was introduced (still present in RC4). Information about command points is no longer present in this tooltip (see screenshot).

This is a small thing, but since it appeared with the latest build, it'd be nice if it could get reverted back to normal before the patch becomes official. Thanks again for your hard work. :thumbsup:

And Athena has yet some problems with unit production I'm fxing.

Is this why i found that it was easier in the Caucasus for the Reds ?
Taking Azov, after Novocharsk 1 or 2 turns after.
Before the Whites were simply too strong. I thought that perhaps Athena had other priorities but if Athena had problems to build, all is explained .
