How can I tell if I have successfully installed a patch?

I think at this point there is not patch for RUS Gold, but how you check is to either:
Look in the bottom right hand corner of your computer monitor. The patch or build number is there.
Alternatively, look under the credits tab once you have opened the game. It will tell you which version you are in.

Patch number is the version number.
