Irritating, Matrix now has uploaded it to their ftp:

Patch 1.01c changelog
1 - New EXE; with air reconnaissance duration and elements-click bug in construction mode both fixed
2 - German language fixed
3 - New strategic map now included in the docs folder
4 - Music ini file fixed
5 - Menu links updated and fixed

I installed the v1.01C patch but the game version at start up still displays v1.01. Is this working as intended? Thanks in advance.

Not sure but from what I see the Installer at least names it 1.01C and the things listed for this patch seems also to be true, the new(not more than a fix to a single map error) strategic map in the docs folder for example is there.

It also appears to replace almost all Cyrillic text with ????????? marks in the Russian version (unfortunately, the English translation is...questionable).

Steam fans say so, however you should ask on Steam forum/support if the Gabe software is failing.

So, Slitherine is not telling the whole truth (you may have to manually download and install) since 10 days on Steam website?

but the patch not work for steam users... the usually nice work of the team...

OK, three tries with the v1.01C update without success, the game still shows v1.01 and the change log indicates an error when the installer was executed:

Nope, new installation patched to RUS Gold 1.01 and then 1.01C. Thanks for the response though.
