Considering purchase.

I've been thinking about a possible purchase. I've read the info about the latest patch and how most all of the events have been removed etc. Is this game a good game in its current state or should I wait for further patches. I was weighing this game or RoP. I have ACW and BoA so I'm familiar with the game system.
Thanks for any opinions.

Both are excellent and fully mature games.
Which era you like might decide.
RoP is a battle game. RUS is a game of building and maneuver. Both are really fine.
If you like ACW best, then maybe RoP. Guessing a bit here.

I haven't thoroughly played RoP yet, but RUS is an awesome game, my favourite AGEOD title to date, so I heartily recommend it. I wouldn't worry too much about its current state of patching, it's still perfectly playable and the events'll get sorted eventually, but if you're worried about not getting the complete experience, then I'd say go for RoP and wait for RUS to go on sale again (they had a promotion the other week but I think it just ended).
