Hi! First of all, sorry for my english, but I'm Italian and I'm not very good in english :neener:
I've a problem: few days ago i decided to buy RUS on GamersGate.com, and the game is very nice, but the only languages which I can play are English and French. Is there a way to translate the game in Italian? Because i see in folder RUS/Settings two excel file with the languages of the game, and there is also Italian. Thanks!

Ciao!
Grazie!

RUS is not available in Italian language and it cannot be tweaked this easily.

In fact, only a few words from the basic engine are in Italian, and you will miss 90% of the game's content. Sorry :(

RUS is not so available in French language, as RUS is even very hardly to be tweaked. That's a reason why I don't play RUS, as the French text is not perfect. I tried to, using many hours on, and my corrected files are no longer used for patches.

Maybe as, even, you see errors and you correct them: some are, and later you see some were not as the engine is not so logically built and your correction was actually bad..

So, please devs, for a next AGE engine, make the localization more easy.
DON'T mix the localization in the game ENGINE!
My UFO:Aftershock work was far more easier than the one on RUS, as in no way it could harm the game.

There are only 2 files used for an AGE game (about localization), one is the localstrings_AGE file, which is about 'generic or common' messages, and one is dedicated to the game in question. If there is a need to replace an existing line (coming from the first file) by a more precise translation for a particular game, you can do that, just put it again in the second file.
