I had many errors while patching, I choose 'Retry' option every time, and the patching ended well.
I then could launch the game.

Thank you! I don't mind waiting a bit, the result should make it worth while.
Hopefully this will help convince more people that this is a great game.

that's great!
Only after I installed it I still have the game under 1.02 like before...Do I have to re-install the vanilla version before applying the new 1.03 patch ?

I don't think so. I installed on beta patch, and after said errors it's written 1.03 when launched.

Thanks Seb
There is an icon to build a fort for every unit without artilery and a message after the turn fort complete . But no forts are built luckly

just message error maybe. Same with single supply wagon unit that can build a depot with an icon but no depot after turn.

There seems to a major problem: Having played through the Ice March scen as Whites, the weather didn't change at all after the winter. It's early June 1918, and it is still harsh, snowy conditions around lower Don (areas around Rostov and Novoserkask). I so would have liked to continue playing the scen...

To be more exact: the weather stopped changing after a certain turn (dunno which), and it is still winter everywhere.

What was the point of the beta-patch? None of what I reported was addressed. Even, my files (Fonts144DPI, the two region graphics of Kapsukas) could have been very easily included.

I can report that weather doesn't work properly in Grand Campaign either. It's early January 1919, and there's no winter conditions anywhere.
Please don't let this excellent game go to waste!

Indeed the new .exe seems to ignore weather change checks. This exe has been built le 30th June and released the same day...

That doesn't necessarily mean that it was hastily built in one day, does it?

I don't care. What I know we have at last solved the trouble both Napoleon and Hitler have suffered in Russia
Back to the 1.02b exe for me, as at last bugs in this exe aren't so hard for testing...

Shame on AGEOD if this rough diamond of game is going to neglected.
I have extensive experience in playtesting and scenario design. My latest efforts can be seen in Gary Grigsby's War in the East. If you need any testing help, I'd be glad to help.

Thanks. I will finish my next version and upload it if 1.02b is able to support it, even with minor bugs.

AI may act very differently in AGE engine, so more input would be needed about this before drawing conclusions
Edit/ i should add the very very partial and preliminary test with 1.03 I made hasn't show a weakened AI, which remains at least at the same efficiency level, and maybe even a little better ...Contrary to WitE, AI isn't scripted iN AGE. Scripts may help, but generic AI have more variability, which is a very good thing. Now, when with some events, you may blend both the benefit of variabilty and script

How is RuS now? Not played it from some while, suffered from gamers burn out lol. I see there is a 1.03 patch, but reading this thread it seems broke?
Clovis, I downloaded your mod, apart from the awkward install process using your batch file, it sounds good.
Is it worth going back to patch 1.02b until 1.03 is fixed?
Thanks.

Yes.
Unless you want to play the game without any seasonal weather changes.

It would be nice if it was simpler.
