Three questions

Three questions (and maybe more if I think of them.)
1) As both the Reds and the Whites, I run into trouble building heavy units. I can't find a city in all of Russia that can build a train and some of the larger ships in particular. Is this a WAD? Either way, it would be nice to have some of the requirements laid out.
2) What is the situation with the Ukraine? Is the Ukraine at war with both sides, just the Reds?
3) This is more of a balance thing, but as the Reds I'm having a heck of a time even getting enough replacements, let alone having enough left over for raising a million man army. Is this WAD, does it get better as time goes on?

EDIT 1) Is there a specific place for bug reports? There doesn't seem to be a dedicated sub-forum. I found an unworking rail link between Pskov and Porkhov.

Then I'm afraid you cannot have looked very closely; there is both a "RUS Technical support / Aide technique"- and a "Help to improve RUS"-forum :)

Ahh yes, I was looking for "Bug reports" and my eyes must have skipped over it. Brain fart. :bonk:

Von Sachsen don't forget to take all partial mobilisation to increase your pool of manpower and use Requisition to have more money. I was reluctant to use it, perhaps a problem of conscience but you have no choice !!! :D

One thing very badly done in my opinion for the french version : For my first play, i was searching for my replacements page. This is actually " Reserve et ... ( aword is missing). In the English version Replacement Pool is much better. French version should have Remplacements or Renforts rather than Réserve. I think many french players will have problems finding their replacements especially all the players having just read the tanks or armored train and special op like me.

For building armored train or artillery you need industrial structure then you have to buils Weapons plant or Usine d'Armement.

Here again the French Version has problem since there is missing words.
You will find " Construire une Usine d'Armement à Moscow " for example and in most of the case you have " Construire une Usine d'Armement à " with no indication of the town ; fortunately the infobulle give the town (Petrograd, Smolensk, Yaroslavl and Novgorod).

Fortunately these annoying problems are counterbalanced by the fact the game is very good and immersive...

Yes, both sides (and more->see1), not just the Reds.
That's why the Ukraine is the more interesting (even in the chinese meaning), and R.U.S. lacks a 2 players limited scenario here (Reds and White south army; dates?->see2).

>1: Reds, south Whites (Denikin/Wrangel), Petliourist directory, Makhnovists/anarchists, Green (big disorganised peasantry revolt): These are the 5 main ones;
plus Polland, Germans/Skoropadsky, French&Greecs, Grigoriev and other warlords&adventurers, etc: at least 9 factions more.

But the R.U.S. gameplay system is not well, as there is a victory for the Reds or Whites. They should both lose if ukrainians succeed in defending (though but possible against the Whites, and a miracle against the Reds).

>2: Battle for Ukraine started January 1918, petliourists against Red (then Whites too), and mid 1918 makhnovists against Germans (then Whites, then Reds too). (I may be wrong, it is mixed)
The Reds were at least 2 times traitors: at first when they gave Ukraine to germans, then when they flee, mid 1919, the Denikin advance (why Tcheka didn't shot Trotsky? :D ).
So, the moment of this Red/White scenario should be only December 1919 to November 1920.

As for the relation of Ukraine vs the White it depends really of the time and who "controls" it (nobody never really controlled it).
The Skoropadsky Hetmanat (~april-december 18) was very much conservative and relied on German-Austrian support before turning towards an alliance with Denikine after their defeat.
The Petlioura's Directorate was a period of chaos with Kiev being taken and retaken by the Whites, the Reds and the Petliourists. They were distrusted by the Whites (associated to anarcho-bandits basically) and by the Reds (and of course by Makhno).
In terms of gaming I could see an alliance between Skoropadsky and Denikin (although the Whites were very strongly anti German) but Petlioura was definitely anti-White...(read "White Guard" from Bulgakov).

I was interested in how Ukraine would be done in game, such utter chaos, but has always been this way in Ukraine and still is to this day, at least now people not killing each other. I think most stable time in Ukraine history was during Soviet times, though had to do a lot with 20th and 30th decades.

Petlioura is someone I dislike very much, even more than every modern anarchist's hero Nestor Makhno.

I finally able to get game on website 'gamers gate' and started my first grand campaign as southern Whites. I am interested in seeing how Ukraine situation plays out, as I am ethnic Ukrainiski and this was event that transplanted my family to Russia.
