Red Cavalry had to give up their horses for armored cars to finish the makhnovists who were already fighting 1 vs 50 ratio (then 1 vs 7 when many Red soldiers joined them or disbanded).

This is just a version of a Red recruiting song, I will have to look to see when film was made but much later. Song is not about cavalry though just saying how strong red army is and is fighting for workers to stop the black baron white army from bringing back tsar. And I agree red cavalry was horrible!

Some traditional music from the Soviet lands specially from Caucasus.Melody similarites can be seen in black sea neighbours. This is the slow paced one. Usually the tempo is so fast especially movement of the legs. I recommend watching lively, that is so fascinating ! and has great spirit..
