How will 2-player PBEM work?

I found this in the French and Greek WTF thread:

In a solo game, playing the Whites, you generally control only one of the two factions, and will have to let the AI play the other.

How about for a 2-player PBEM? Having the White player forced to play with an AI ally would be quite a handicap.

In scenarios with 3+ factions, PBEM with 3 players will be same as other AGE games.

If you play a 3 faction game PBEM with only 2 humans, the third faction will have AI-generated orders.

Of course, the "White" Player could load one White faction, save orders, then load the other White faction, save orders and send both .ord files to the host...

Multi-player: Think of this as a "sneak preview" of one of the attractions of VGN. :w00t:

...er, uh I mean PON.

I'm only familiar with AACW and BoA, which only have 2 playable factions.

Do any of the other games you mention have more than 2 playable factions?

The advantage of this system is that if a player drop off from a PBEM, the game is not blocked: You can continue playing with one of the faction being managed by the AI until you find a replacement player (or not). :)
