need saved game

We still need the saved game for this reported bug:

I think we have the "fix", but need to test it, and thus need the situation where Zastrow of HAN is killed before arrival of the Duke of Cumberland (arrival date is Late April, 1757)

The proposed "fix" is NOT yet included in this patch (RC4)

Thanks,
but is Ferdinand to hannover event working? I sent save game with more than enough backup :D

also I generally experince stacks fighting 4-5 battles with same stack resulting big NM changes in single turn with medium delay selected.
- no Cavalry replacements for Prussians even with very small losses, cavalry elements deplete quickly and stay depleted for long time and they dont recover.

Patience. It's not forgotten....

Edit: Of course my thanks :)

It is rather obscure, and I actually had about a 50/50 chance that your saved game would replicate the bug!!! REALLY hard to chase it hen that happens. (If I changed anything, the "random seed" changed, and the event worked OK.... .....sometimes :blink :)

Patience. It's not forgotten....

Fix is ready and tested! Next patch! :)

Could the graphic for the British fusilier please be changed for the next proper patch. :coeurs:
At the very least the British grenadier graphic could be used, at least the mitre would be right.

A leader graphic not showing on the map properly is Chazot, see the pic below.

The picture is also missing in the Berliner Zeitung for the "Lubeck goes Prussian" event.

Help me find this event: What year does it occur????

There are many Event files, and it's been quite a while, and I'm trying to keep track of 3-4 game DB, so date of event/occurance will help me keep what small amount of sanity I still have....

Unfortunately I don't think it is date sensitive. :(
I think it only fires when the Prussian player takes Lubeck.

Still seems to be a slight problem with weather patterns. See the attached pic, snow everywhere apart from in the mountains and hills.

Leader problem

Playing as Prussia, long campaign.
I have just had Serbeloni arrive as a 3* general in the stack commanded by Cumberland in Hannover.
On his unit detail panel he is still listed as an Austrian general, but his rank has the Prussian blue colour behind it.
He arrives if you play from the backup, in that he is not there, the next turn he is.
Save and backup attached

I'm clueless!

Examining events, AUS Serbeloni two star arrival event has not yet fired, yet the free AI promotion of Serbeloni indicates already fired for both current and previous turn!

Since the promotion uses the "find model, EvalUate, trigger" logic also used in the Ferdinand MC events, I suspect a nasty rare engine bug again (or still) :(

No indication in message log about 3 star Aus general Browne death While playing AUS. I think there was a mesage with playing Prussian side.

Edit: There is message for death when loaded as Prussia.

Edit 2: Thanks Lodilefty :)

Found and Fixed for next patch update!

Hehe, while looking at it, I see that Browne can potentially die before the event replacing him with Charles! Fixed that to avoid issues with Charley ;)

Thank you! :coeurs:

Strengths of British cavalry

Some of the strengths of the British cavalry still need tweaking according to Savory.
From the first contingent the 1st Kings Dragoon Guards should have 3 squadrons, at the moment there are only 2.
From the second contingent the 15th Light Dragoons should have 4 squadrons instead of the 2 they have at the moment.

Playing as Prussian, long campaign. At start of turn processing had the following error messages. Game carried on OK.

[Error ] TGroup.GetAbiCommandBonus Exception caught: 1000280 Elbe Armee Violation d'accès à l'adresse 0041BF79 dans le module 'ROP.exe'. Lecture de l'adresse 00001008

Save and backup attached.

I see in the RUS 1.01 official patch that the "Moors" terrain has been renamed as "Deep Forest".
I brought this up in very early beta here and it was never commented on. The terrain graphic looks like forest and lakes, not moors. Could this be changed in RoP too please?

I'll just say: haha!!

nice catch ;)

The "besieged" icon seems to be not showing when the "pillaged" icon is also present in Glogau. It's not hidden by the 2 Prussian stacks either, I have moved them out of the way. ;)

Might be something a bit more to my above post.
The next turn the Austrians in Glogau surrendered and there is no longer a pillaged icon showing, the region is no longer pillaged. Shouldn't it still be pillaged, I have have had the 2 stacks sat there for quite a few turns, both with nowhere near their full supply. Were the 2 icons, besieged and pillaged, mixed up?
I have attached a save from the current turn, where the Austrians surrendered, and the backup from the previous turn where there is no besieged icon in case anyone wants to take a look.

It was discussed earlier about making all the fortress artillery "heavy" so that they don't suck up the few artillery replacements that you get through out the game.
Can this be done for the next patch please?

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but the owner flag for Langensalza, ID 412, is positioned in the neighbouring province of Erfurt.

Is the RC a complete Patch, or do I need the 1.02 first?

And sorry for drifting off but will there be another RC soon?
Between RC3 and 4 was just a week and seeing all these small fixes I wonder if the next RC is just around the corner.
Or is the final 1.03 next?

I ask because I was about to start the campaign and that would be silly if a new RC/final patch is soon coming.

It's a comprehensive patch. No need for 1.02.

It's always possible a major bug to be found. But it seems late fixes are very minor ones and a new patch shouldn't force you to abandon a current game.

In any case, 1.03 is much better than 1.02.

Sudden Death On

Posted: Mon Dec 20, 2010 3:27 pm
by Ebbingford
On the F5 page of the ledger, Victory Points and Objectives, it says

National Moral (Sudden Death On)

What triggers the "Sudden Death"? And shouldn't it say it somewhere on this section where the NM for each side is shown?
I have got the Austrian AI NM down to 13 at the moment with 6 turns of the GC left. If the "Sudden Death" is triggered by low NM, shouldn't Austria have lost by now? If this is the trigger then shouldn't it say what the automatic defeat level for each side is?
If the trigger is the loss of your capital then should this in fact be a trigger? The Austrians took Berlin in 1760 and it didn't mean that Prussia lost the war.

Well I was hoping that the next Patch has the weather fixed, Ebbingford reported this strange behavior of snow.
"... snow everywhere apart from in the mountains and hills."

Sure you can overlook minor bugs but something like this that smacks in your face every winter is quit annoying at least for me.
