I heard about Rise of Prussia Gold being under development? Is there info already on what it changes exactly and more importantly: is it free for Rise of Prussia owners?

Pocus intended to post in the beta-forum, I suppose.

more info here, looks intriguing, especially the 4 player PBEM option.
http://www.matrixgames.com/products/476/details/Rise.Of.Prussia.Goldlooks like you can buy an "update kit DLC" only if you already have the game?
edit: hoooo, this is new, new decisions!

well hopefully it prevents the Austrian player having full control over both the Russians and French so they operate akin to the two white factions in RuS. If so, will really change the dynamics of the game which was steadily becoming more favouring Austria as people settled on a relatively standard strategy.

Is it already known if it will work with the Steam version?

They have been asking for testers with the Steam version of ROP, so pretty sure it will work.

Cool! I was going to buy RoP tomorrow but I guess I'll have to wait for Gold now, and practice on RUS and BOA2 in the meantime...

Two questions.
First, will ROP Gold work like WWI Gold in that there will be an upgrade so that current owners of ROP don't have to buy the game all over again?
Second, will any of the significant map errors get corrected in the new game? There have been posts about this in the past, but the biggest problem is the relative position of the towns in the general vicinity of Berlin. The crossings of the lower Elbe and the water system around Leipzig could also use some attention.

I gave in and bought it anyway.

I can't answer for sure about the map errors, I know the betas did beta test ROP gold for several weeks though.
There will be an upgrade kit, for a quite cheap price (25% of the normal price) yes.
ROP Gold will be announced officially today in News from Ageod. New scenarios and regional decisions are the features

Wow. I just picked this up a couple of weeks ago and there's an expansion kit coming very soon. Sweet! I've just paid off my credit card bill so I've got plenty of space for this.

I'm glad I checked this weekend and now am ready to get this as soon as it hits.
Question: Are the quirky replacements thing redone?
Lol, I remember getting RoP pretty soon after released and I had a bug that I reported where a brigade of French cavalry had a combat value of 15,000!! After it was fixed, I kind of wanted it back!
