ROP for Mac?

Just came across this on gamers gate: http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-ROPM/rise-of-prussia-mac.

I've been waiting on this for a while. Strangely the Virtual Programming site seems to not say anything about it. Is this for real?

Also, does anyone know if the recent beta patches can be used with the mac version?

Regarding the patches, no.

The developer creates its own patches, for example AACW was also ported to Mac and there is a specific patch in Virtual programming site

I have not ROP for Mac.

AACW for Mac, though (Appstore version) is apparently patched to the latest official patch - the version says 1.15b. - it plays rather well, BTW

I presume updates may only be made:
1. If new official patches are out and
2. If we ask the developer

I have ACCW for Mac. I also run it and BOA2 (and the later beta patches) under Win on a Bootcamp partition on my MacBook Pro.

It's handy to be able to play on the Mac side where I do all my work.

I notice there are also other classics available for Mac for $19.99 - BOA2 and Napoleon's Campaigns.

I think both, like ACCW, are more or less frozen at last "official" patch - only updates for ACCW on Mac did were minor fixes and not logic - like noble efforts of volunteers on boards with the Win version.

Question I'd really appreciate feedback on - I'd like to buy more Mac versions for convenience - are the last official patches for both BOA2 and Nap Campaign playing well and have no major bugs? These last official patch levels are what gets ported to the Mac side and I'm thinking they are on good shape sans the further refinement/tinkering via the volunteer efforts with several games?
