Still trying the demo.
In AACW you recognize immediately the entrechment level on the Troop Display Marker.
There is no such visual help with the Troop Display Marker of RoP?
So I have to klick every marker to discover the entrenchment level of the unit?
This is very complicated!
On the enemy you will sees nothing at all?

AGE is a game engine, that's not to say all features are used in all games. After all, RUS have tanks and planes, AACW has entrenchment and ROP nothing of that, but special rules for siege

ROP manual extract
"Entrenchments only appear as part of the initial scenario set-up or, in certain scenarios, by events. Players do not
construct entrenchments."

You can build fortified camps with one supply wagon and one artilery unit in a stack tho (introduced in 1.03 betas IIRC).
Also troops that are stationary for about a turn get bonuses when on the defensive (two levels of that IIRC).

Right, but in this case, you will see a fortified camp icon in the region

And bonus aren't entrenchment.

It is?? The bonus I was talking bout is called entrenchment level in-game as shown by the hm hm and hm screenshot (the 1 and 2 followed by vvvv) and the small pictures by the stack on the map.

If so, there's something wrong with the manual. that's life. Or my brain. That's life too, but more painful

Units that are stationary in RoP gain entrenchment levels 1 and 2 which provide increasing defensive bonuses. They are shown by a small graphic next to a stack (level 1 looks like a stockade) and on the interface as per screenshot you have posted (its the 1 vvvv or 2 vvvv).
You can also "entrench" in a province by building a fortified camp, with one supply wagon and one artilery unit, which i believe can't be attacked without making a breech first (making it useful for protection from cav raids).
