Yep, the game is on my HD
A question anyway: I did not download the manual after the game (I have bought the game here), and I don't know how to do it now?

Congratulations from Japan!
I am a fan of AGEOD since first Birth of America published.
RoP totally impressed so far, I think it's worth of $50. New conscription system, desperate winter attriton and detailed combat report are so nice and fun to me.
Game runs on Japanese Windows (XP) without any problem.
Thanks guys and May I expect the expansion of the Austrian Succession Wars?

So far, there are no plans for such. Unfortunately, the cost of making boxes is too large compared to the returns.
I'm saying "so far", because there is a theoretical chance that a future distribution deal may include provisions for a boxed version of the game with physical delivery. There are no indications that any such deals may be underway, though.
But the digital download works like a charm, I can assure you

I'm just a reactionary - I really prefere boxed versions - don't really like things changing

What a beautiful game!

I got "Rise of Prussia" some hours ago via Steam. I was
very sceptical concerning this way of distribution - I really prefer boxed copies and don't like any "downloading clients" on my computer at all. But I can accept that niche-games like this one do not find enough buyers anymore to offer a boxed version.
Anyway - I was so much interested in this game that I gave Steam a try and I was really surprised. Installation and buying process were very comfortable, the Steam-GUI is easy to understand and very refined. Nice!
The game itself is one of the most beautiful games I've ever seen. The graphics are a real work of art! And I can even find the city I'm living next to...

I also really like the new features. The game has a lot to offer for fans of well researched historical strategy games like me.
I hope very much you'll get the recognition that this masterpiece deserves!
Congratulations to the whole team!
Andreas

You know, if you had bought from AGEOD's own webshop, you wouldn't have needed any download client on your computer at all, apart from the internet browser of your choice. Just saying
In any case, very happy to hear you like the game

Also I'm unsure you can use a (public) beta patch on your copy, but it has to be tested. Steam will receive all official patches though, after they are approved.

Someone could've told me before...
But I made my peace with STEAM - the installation is necessary for more and more games like "Napoleon - Total War". And waiting for the official patches is no problem for me.
