Excellent stuff gpepper

Congratulations
There is as always a problem with the mitre, the grenadiers were upposed to be the tallest, not the shortest
The bayonet was so short?

Great work on the Units!

They look absolutely gorgeous!

What kind of pathetic creature would not enjoy sending these exquisitely uniformed soldiers into harms way for the greater good of the State and the service of their King(Player)?

These uniform graphics are wonderful and seems to be very accurate.
In the last weeks I bought some books about that time.First the essential history book from the Osprey series about the SYW, then two books on german from Philipp Haythornthwaite about the Army of Frederick the Great and about the Imperial Austrian Army. Both are wonderful and compact written and a good suggestion for every reader who want to know more about the main armies of the SYW.
greetings

Nikel, in the Prussian army, the Grenadiers were not the tallest men but the bravest, those that have a superior will, endurance for marches and be robust.

Size wasn't important or they were smaller than other armies. see Duffy.
Fred tried also to have dark skin and dark hair rather than blond or light complexion because he found that they would have looked effeminate

The end of bayonets are not visible, this is why they look shorter.
The muskets are of the good size.
With the size of the counters in the game, we will not see that anyway.

Bayonets are longer and larger but their color is the same than the color background ! That's why they seem tiny !

Oh. I think that I read it somewhere, that the grenadiers were the tallest and more robust and that with the mitre they looked even taller and so more frightening. But perhaps it was with the napoleonic grenadiers on foot and a cheval, and the contrary with the chasseurs that were smaller.
Sorry for the bayonet too, indeed they are blurred with the backgroudn, the second one is a clear example if you look carefully

So… c’mon! Who’s the seven years war expert that can tell us (or make an informed guess…) which unit represent each of the pictures??
Is it just me or does it look like there are several graphics for the same units types (looks like there are various slightly different Prussian grenadiers :confused
How is that?? There will be individual graphics for each different regiment??
(well I guess maybe just for the most notable ones

)
Or maybe I juts an ignorant and several nations used the typical dark blue Prussian uniforms??
Cheers

I am certainly no expert but I do see that there are in fact individual Prussian Regiments represented. The last soldier is almost certainly from a Garde Regiment/Battalion. The blue tunic with blue pants Unit could be a Wurtemburger Unit since they followed the Prussian styles which sometimes caused confusion in combat. I don't think any Prussian Units wore blue pants except maybe some of the Frei Corps. The green coated Unit in the middle second row looks like a Prussian Jaeger. The last Unit in second row looks like a Grenadier of von Arnim Regiment(5 Infantry Regiment). Third Unit from top row could be a Grenadier of von Canitz Regiment(2 Infantry Regiment). There also looks to be a few British and Russian units scatted about. I am guessing that the General is Seydlitz.

Ok,I'm going to make a wild guess

Based on the few blue jacketed soldiers, and on the mustache they all have, I'd say this is the Prussian roster.
I just don't see the two redcoats from the middle row as British units (no mustache there at that time, and the hat trim of the line regiments was white, not yellow/gold).

Hmmm... interesting.. so maybe they are all Prussian??
What i find intriguing is also that lower left super cool figure
It looks definitely like a general (too much gold plating to being just a curassier don't you think?? besides the little detail that he's missing his horse :wacko
So.. as we all know that generals are represented by their portraits... what is this guy??
Some kind of HQ unit graphic???

Sol Invictus seems to be right, they are Prussians or Prussians ally, perhaps hannover for red coats although it could be possible to be Leibgrenadiergarde from Saxony(with a polish eagle).
To identify a british grenadier is easy, they didn't have a plate on the mitre, but a simple mitre made of wool and ebroidered. Here there is a plate thus prussian ally.
Of course Ageod could have changed the color in order to have something british (red in this case) but i don't think. We should have real british grenadier soon.
The Bremen Grenadiers also wore red uniforms wit mitre cap (and a plate).
The other are musketeer, fusilier, etc..(see Osprey).

I am not sure that the first Redcoat's Mitre is not cloth but it does appear to have an eagle on it so you are correct this is not British. I think the British always had a lion on the Mitre. You are probably correct that it is Saxon. The second Redcoat also has a Prussian style Tricorn so maybe he is also a minor German unit.

Great work on the uniforms. Some I see are inspired by Osprey Men at Arms Frederick the Great´s Army
Allright grenadier 2nd from left top left is IR15 Leib Garde Batallion 3.
Musketeer top right last one is IR15 Leib Garde Batallion 1 also a grenadier though they wore tricornes.
The grenadier left from IR15 Musketeer is Pomeranian Provincial Corps grenadier

Or actually more specifically it is Frei Grenadiers Hullesen and Wüssow two batallions that were frei corps in the Swedish SYW army
Prussian frei grenadiers but they fough for the Swedes in Pomerania against Prussians.
The musketeer at the bottom with light blue pants can be any frei corps but Le Noble comes to mind
Uhm not to be nitpicky, but correct me if I am wrong. The musketeer in the middle bottom line has drummers lace on the arms. Looks more like a drummer actually except the actual drum. I have not seen any regular infantry in the Prussian army that wore drummers lace except just drummers and fifers
