Server based PON?

I have heard some chat about how nice if would be if PON could be server based. I wonder if there is a channel in which this ideal could be realized?
I do suspect ownership of PON is very odd, so maybe not.
But a game which enabled, say 40 factions. would find a ready audience in my circle of players.

what do you mean ? discord server?
And you want the game to have 40 participants? And you think they can be found?

Oh, something like FoG: Empires. There are games with twenty to thirty players commonly, so I thought a cap a bit higher would be nice.

I have not played FoG: E in the licensed version and I do not know what kind of multiplayer there is ((.
But apparently it is done there as in matrixgames PBEM ++, with the search for players online. It is very convenient, I use it in TOAW4 and it is very convenient.

It would be nice to do this in PON, but for that you need to create a PON2 game. and taking into account the imminent release of Victoria 3, this is unprofitable and unrealistic

I actually thought it would be a nice competitor to Victoria 3 as it will remain grounded in realism and will not run even when the player must sleep (that is, it will be turn based, not time based). With FoG: Empires development, PON2 already has the platform. I just do not know who owns PON.
The FoG: Empires interface has a very elegant multiple player interface which is easy to use and which uses the WEGO turn management. I do not remember how many factions, but something like 24 factions with a single player able to play two or three factions.

If I'm not mistaken, FOG:E supports no more than 16 factions in one game.

Ah yes, indeed 16. Well that would be sufficient, but some current PON games top 42 players.

I think you are already in one of the larger ones at The Wargaming Club. If not, there are two largish games going there.
