How does one determine frontage width in different areas?

Using the 7 key does not seem to work in PON.

My understanding is that frontage is more a question of unit type, light, regular and irregular more than density; so while frontage is a game concept, it is not the same as the newer engines. Thus, no way to read except to infer from terrain chart about difficulty of movement.
