I am a steam user and have seen in the discussion area of steam that you can run PoN in windowed mode. However, the manual and the options area seems silent on that. Does anyone know how to make the game run in windowed mode?

In your Pride of Nations folder, you have a file named AGESettings.exe, which alters this setting.

I found that in my system (I still use Win XP), the game often crashes if I use alt-Tab, and minimizing the window doesn't always work immediately. So I reduced the size of the game window to a bit less than the size of my screen, and can switch to other programs by clicking outside the game window or on the task bar.

Ok, but how do you put it into windowed mode and change the size? I can find no place in the options to make that happen.

Unfortunately that file does not exist in any of the folders in Pride of Nations.

In mine, it exists - maybe you have to reinstall the game ? Or - I don't know - is it omitted if you install through Steam ?

The usual path for this file is: [...]\Pride of Nations\AGESettings.exe (same folder where you find PON.exe)
