1877- Game Over

Playing as the US, I've seem to run the game to ground in 1877. I am out of Coal and Manufactured Goods, with no way to get more.

I have every coal pit and manufactured goods factory built. All of them are at maximum production in 100% developed regions with railways. I've turned consumer consumption down to 10%. I have closed every non-essential production facility that is using coal or manufactured goods. I am buying the maximum allowable off the market.

Yet I'm still stuck on -100 coal, and 0 manufactured goods, and have been for over a year.

Too bad, its a fun game and I was doing well.

Tear down your railways perhaps, they use up a lot of coals. Identify why you are spending so much coal.

Check for strikes and other bad modifiers in your regions. Just because you have a structure doesn't mean it will produce anything unless your people are happy and going to work every day. There are lots of things it could be, post a save if you want help tracking it down.

After two years, the bottleneck burst. No idea why, nothing was different from 1877 to 1888 to 1889. Back in the game
