Tsingtao?

Just wondering how will be possible to acquire Tsingtao (Qingdao) from China?
I'm with Germany (left the Italian campaign due to that f... capital problem), the army is quite strong (now it's 1882);
the navy is under renewing. Building the protectorates of Togo,Kamerun,Südwest-Afrika. But i don't think
i can stand against the chinese if i attack them for the mentioned province... Will be any other solutions?
I'll desperatly need a harbor in that region; the nearest coaling station is in New-Guinea.

Hi. You'll get Qingdao by event later in the game as happened IRL. You'd probably find a lot of helpful advices if you read my AAR.
If you need any help with your campaign just ask here (or p.m me) and I'd be glad to help you.
Cheers.

Thanks,good to know.
Just struggling with the private capital shortage... if all of the facilities running there's always shortage, increase of inflation. Has to
close a lot of producing sites... going to be annoying now

HerrDan's AAR is excellent to help learn the game. It has really been a great resource.

Started to read the mentioned AAR, i've got absolutely no idea how it's possible to reach private capital growth of about 30k.
Furthermore in my ministry of colonial affairs, there're nothing in the interest and alerts window.

Vielen Dank! I intend to continue working on it, just trying to find the time.

Sirhiggins, it evolves gradually and I'd think you would explain your situation better by showing screenshots, otherwise it gets hard to get what you mean.
Cheers.

That's very strange indeed, just a question, what version are you using?
There should be the territories there in the Intest and Alerts area, I've just checked my game and found that everything is ok in my game.

Just struggling with the private capital shortage...
Looking at these screenshots, it appears you’ve got far too many buildings producing stuff and you are draining your private capital. Turn all producing buildings off, stop all trades and stop all purchases so your f4 screen shows just what is being produced with nothing else in the production mix from current buy or sell orders.
Then turn on just enough industries to get everything into positive territory so you produce +10 or so more than you need. So basically your ‘Overall Balance’ line will be about 10 items higher than your ‘Initial Stocks’ line. Leave any excess production capacity turned off and only use it if future population growth or industry demands make it necessary.
If you lack enough production capacity for a specific resource then use the buy screen to buy yourself into the +10 range.
Once you’ve set that all up check the buy screen and look for items with little or no resources on offer for trade (hover mouse over a resource on the buy screen and it tells you what’s on offer on the pop-up). These items will be cash crops, meaning they’ll sell out every turn if you offer them for sale due to worldwide shortages. If you have any cash crops then over-produce those by turning all industries you have on and producing even more of those industries and sell all excess items on the world market.
This should get your private capital into healthy status pretty quickly.
Edit: I should note, you have way to much stuff currently that has been produced, so currently you have a ton of wastage going on that will skew the numbers. You should probably run several turns with all production turned off to drain your stocks low enough that wastage stops and your ‘Overall Balance’ numbers will no longer reflect the loss of the wasted resources. Trying to set up your production as I described above before wastage goes away will result in a lot of time wasted as you’ll need to tweak everything again after wastage stops.

Yes, it's 1880.
So is it normal in these scenarios that nothing is about the colonial affairs?

No, I play the 1880 scenario start in my AAR, and everything's fine there. How is the prestige you get from your colonies and territories? If you're facing SOI problems you might need to use the fix for that. So, please take a look at the colonies and territories around the globe and see if they give you prestige or if they're all marked as -10 prestige. If the later is true, then I'd guess you'll need to use the fix.
Cheers.

Sorry I misinterpreted what the concern was, I thought he was talking about the existing colonial levels in Africa. I hadn't even noticed that the colonialism fields were blank. Execute a turn and see if they fill in, it might be a simple caching issue. If not I'd post to tech support with a save file attached.

To post it in the tech support page is a good idea, but might take sometime as the developers are busy as always. I can try to help you solve your problem, but I'd need more information.
Cheers.

The SOI is -9 for Togo, -7 for Kamerun, -10 Südwest Afrika.
I thought that 1,04RC5 Jan29-2015 already contains the SOI fix, isn't it?
i started a new to check it with Italy but the same, nothing in the colonial page.

So if you're playing Germany, I guess this event can solve your problem. Just copy it to (preferably at the end) your "Ger 1880 Events" file:

I thought that if not all of the areas are with -10SOI, it'll be OK (slowly but the SOI is increasing from -10 to -7 in case of Kamerun for example).
Will this event solves the problém with colonial ministry's empty tab?

Yes, it's specially designed to correct your bug on the colonial ministry table and it will also give you the right SOI around the world.
Cheers.

I guess you should change only the name of the event (e.g. just add a number or anything) in order to make it fire.

It's still not right, so I guess you'll have to run the entire event, go to the events folder and find the file named "1880GC SOI Events", copy and paste the first event there with all the SOI to your events file (just don't forget to change the name of the event!).

Copy and paste the full event what you've written previously (i've copied the full into the GER 1880 Events file before -i thought i run the full event) ?
Keep the event in the "Ger 1880 Events" file too?
Anyway is it possible that these problems are because i copied the full game folder from steam folder to another place and applied the RC5 beta patch
(i read somewhere that this is better than to update the game via steam)?

In the events fold you'll find a file named "1880GC SOI Events", in this file are there the events for the correct SOI, so you'll find the first event ( that stablishes the "normal" SOI for every major nation), its name is "evt_nam_SOIEvents_1880GC", it's a very long event so that I can't post here due to the limit in characters per post, the event I made for you was just a version of that event, but I only used the german SOI, so, to solve your problem you'll need to use the full event, just change the name of the event and copy and paste to your GER 1880 Events file and the problem should be fixed.
