I'm thinking of buying this, but how is the lag compared with the 1850 game?

Oh, the DLC: The Scramble for Africa Campaign 1880.
I am still thinking about buying this DLC.
Might not be very helpful now, but I purchased the DLC: The Franco-Prussian War 1870-1871.
This turns rather fast!

The best thing I did was to buy the Scramble for Africa, it's much better than the 1850 grand campaign, as most ahistorical problems were solved and it's all about putting into action the plans you usually have to wait a lot in the 1850 campaign. Buy it, you won't regret.
And if you want, take a look at my AAR to give you some inspiration.

I'm also thinking about buying it, but I have a pre-Matrix version of PON (I bought it the first day by AGEOD web) and i'd like to know if it's going to work with this version or not.

The 1880 campaign overcomes some issues with early incidents and events (including Italy's and Germany's unification, the American Civil War, the Crimean War, and some more things that may deviate from real history in the game) and welcomes the player just a few years before
the Berlin Conference where the majors of the day were deciding for the colonial partition of Africa!
