MTB attrition battles do not change Warscore

Perhaps the hits are too few, but I think in a future patch warscore should be given to the side that manages to damage (or sink) ships in MTBs. In my recent Franco-Japanese war France was hitting hard the Japanese trade routes (in MTBs) scoring hits every turn. I don't think they were enough to sink elements, but even without sinking it was battles 'lost' for Japan, so to speak.
I would really love to see code that assigns warscore (little, but there!) to abstracted MTB battles as well. In the end, a war of attrition, fought only on trade routes is a perfectly viable war in this era, even without occupations or land/naval major battles. Ideally, the abstracted battles should give a minor penalty in all 3 departments (warscore, NM, contentment) as to portray the loss of civilian life and less actual goods arriving in the home towns. It might be difficult to balance, but here we are if testers are needed.
