Potential Peace Issue

Hello everyone, my apologies in advance if I do not have enough information or seem frustrated... I am.
I'm doing a GC with Russia, and have beaten Persia pretty well. I wanted Tabriz, so I offered peace with Persia giving me Tabriz, sent it. The next turn when I hover over Treaty Sent it says "Sent last turn, waiting for reply. Persia will cede the region of Tabriz". But in the log, item #1 says "We sent this diplomatic proposal to Persia last turn: Offer Peace" and #2 says: "This diplomatic treaty with Persia is no longer valid: Offer Peace."
When I run the next turn (I've ran it twice), the war ends, my troops are cleared (as expected) but Persia keeps Tabriz. I'm a little lost as to what happened and if its an error in PON, or an error on my end. Thanks in advance for any help!

Did they offer peace to you? And if so, did you accept?
The AI tends to try to flood you with peace offers every turn, and if you accept, then your own peace offer will not be valid.

To the best of my knowledge, I rejected all their peace offers. It also wouldn't let me propose peace on the same turn they had sent me an offer.

I am having the exact same trouble, except that I am Ottoman. I sent Persia a peace proposal (demanding Tabriz and with enough extra points) but in the end Persia keeps Tabriz. After I send the offer, I see in my log a message saying "This diplomatic treaty with Persia is no longer valid: Offer Peace". Hit F9, the peace offer is there (demanding Tabriz). Next turn my peace offer is accepted but Tabriz stays Persian. How can I solve this?
Just to clarify:
- I am using "extended claims" (of course);
- Using patch 1.03e since the start of the GC;
- I have gone back and rerun the turn (sometimes delaying the peace offer one turn), but Persia always keeps Tabriz;
- I have tried to demand another province (Abadan) and the same thing happens (peace but no cession).

A script to force ownership change might be in order. This behavior is obviously a bug, but unless you submit a zip file with the save game to Pocus, it will be difficult to nail it down.

Is it ease to make such a script? I have no experience on how to do that.
My temporary solution was to switch sides and propose peace with Persia, giving away Tabriz. It worked well, but now I have to undo many nasty things the AI did while playing the Ottomans for one turn...

It is easy but
there is always a learning curve. You could start by studying some of the events that have already fired in your game in the Events folder. Yes, for complex nations even one turn under the AI is bad. Actually the AI fares better when full control instead of coming and going.

Check out this
thread, will give you the basics that you can then amend to fit your circumstances

I will take a look at it, thanks to both of you. It is too bad, however, that even after a couple of years, we still have to use scripts to bypass bugs, instead of using them only for personal modding.
