France in 1880

Hello

Is this normal that at the start of the 1880 scenario the president is Louis-Napoleon Bonaparte and the prime minister is Alphonse Henri just like at the beginning of the 1850 scenario ?
Are there some leftover files that would have to be deleted prior to running the 1880 campaign ?
I also noticed that the game performance is much worse than the 1850 campaign, is this due to the greater number of structures or it is abnormal for the expansion to be slower ?

Thanks

I bought the 1880 scenario and installed it. Before trying to see if it works, should the 1.03 patch be run again, and then mods (PBEM changes) added in again?

Play one turn and you will see the historical leaders. I have had the same with germany, so this seems to be "normal" (as far as I can see the 1880 scenario loads its values for leaders and maybe some other things when you process the first turn)

you can install in the order you want.

This is one limitation of the DLC, there is a one turn delay before the leaders are updated.

I played two turns and Napoleon III still has not died :D . Do I need to do something else to get the 1880 leaders?

That's weird, but anyway, we are preparing a fix to avoid any problem you may suffer with that...

Same thing with poor old Zachary Taylor in USA. 1880 (2nd turn) and still going strong :D

If it works for some players it might depend on the order of install ?? (I patched to 1.03 and then installed 1880...)

Ok, I have just uploaded a quickfix for the SOI problem... check it here:
http://www.ageod-forum.com/showthread.php?26453-1880-scenario-bug

Please, test that... and I will see if I can prepare a new one for rulers too to prevent this too.
Thanks!

Vive Napoleon III! He adds so much joie de vivre and joie de guerre to 19th C gaming.

(Note: Je ne parles pas francais.)

Hi!
Well, I have prepared a new event that modifies by force all rulers all around the globe to prevent this situation in where some nations are not updated properly.
Please, uncompress this .rar file:

... and copy the files into the Events folders:
..\Pride of Nations\VGN\Events

This quickfix includes the other 2 previous fixes, so it should fix:
1) The SOI problem
2) The lack of supply wagons
3) The wrong rulers/PMs

Please, test and let me know... :)

Thanks. Still have not seen any supply wagons available for France after running a couple of turns. But SOI and the Leaders seem to be as intended.

Thanks for the patch :) . The same for me playing as France as well, the leaders get fixed on the second turn but there are no supply wagons

For Germany it works (even the supply wagons).

Everyone gets a fixed amount of supply wagons... the event included forces the inclusion of units that apparently were not triggered properly by the tech tree when the scenarios was created... so, after that event happens, if you still do not see supply wagons, it must be because you have already too much on the map.
