Has anybody actually completed this giant vampire squid of a game?

Gees guys what have you created here? An opportunity to spend my life solving multiple simultaneous equations?

Can you automate it or large parts of it so like Hearts of Iron 3 I can just sit back after starting a war and watch the World just get on with it?

Perhaps you can have a setting so that it will automatically do 26 turns.

Blimey, a hundred views and nobody has dared reply.

Think I'll have to get some of those Higgs Bosun Grant Finder guys to help me with the equations.

see it that way, in past most people who did not break with PON after the first 10-20 years time, would NEVER EVER play HOI3 again... there were discussions about it in past.

playing it through cost me three months after patch 1.02, part time, 2-3 turns an hour also at work while phone calls.

predefining that much would nil the historical path of the AI the player has to react, as well as nilling the floating events. Game would have to puase every time something happens.
so the best shot they tried are monthly turns, which are troublesome enough.

consider it as DARK MATERIALS rather than gods work ^^

EDIT:

i believe there is a situation already at hand. buts its only for 10 or 12 turns or so... then it must be reset

Thanks for your reply.

Perhaps AGEOD should give copies of PON to prisoners in jail so they have something to occupy themselves with for years on end.

PS - I see you are on the AJE Beta Team - please make it manageable. I will buy it anyway like PON, but I would like some enjoyment.

If you finished the game, Yellow Ribbon, I would be very curious to find out how well the game simulated the events of the last six years depicted, with the Great War and the Bolshevik Revolution.

The events of WWI are in, but probably need linking with the main script.

I'm sorry, I don't understand that sentence. What are you refering to by 'script?'

Haven't finished the game, I only played until 1900. But from what I know from the eventfiles, proper WW1 events are not included in the game, and those that are existant are mostly for atmosphere, russian revolution events dont have any effect but a scripted loss of national morale.

No, I gave it a try after I bought a new PC but the turns are still taking too long to process, and even moving the screen around is annoying. Scenarios run fine though.

And I really wanted to try 20 or 30- years of gameplay...too bad I am not in prision nor broke my leg ( :
