AI fails to unify italy and germany

HUGE disappointment. Playing as Austria in mid year 1867, so far nothing changed in europe. There was no austro-piedmont war, prussia did not DOW denmark even tho the event fired, (i had the choice to declare war on denmark as early as april 1863 but the option DID NOT WORK. i chose at least 10 times the option to go to war but nothing happened!!! the only option that worked was the other one to not go to war, which i executed in spring 1864).

the event piedmont is on war footing fired but they never declared war on me.

in late 1866 i got the event saying that a war is inevitable between prussia and me but nothing happened. and even if they would attack me they stand no chance. so that means if i dont let them win, there will be no germany?

if i had no army would they attack me?

so true, no austria piedmond war ( as france I had to take alpes maritimes and the other one by force instead of treaty), no denmark war, it still has all its teritories, and forget austro prussian war. result is piedmont looks like a schmutz in the middle of europe, not worth calling a small organisation, let alone a major one.
AI is to look at no unification is even on the way

the problem is that its a historical game and itd be too stupid if prussia lost the war and no germany formed. but you cant form germany while austria is powning prussia and you cant force austria to be powned.

solution would be to force ( or make it easy for austria to lose this war by playing like #$&# and while austria is player, well same as now more or less, ignore and fire the event while prussia is austrian owned like nothing hapenned

No, the solution is to fix the event tree so there is not only one way to unification, and that Austria is screwed no matter what they do, and that Sardinia automatically, theoretically unifies Italy, and that Prussia does not automatically, theoretically unify Germany, etc.

Right now, understandably, the Devs set it up with one event tree using historically based events, but with probabilities set, so that if they don't fire, nothing happens.

What I'm working on is a flow chart for German Unification so that something will always happen, but it may not be the way it was historically, but it will be plausibly historical.

Hopefully, will follow with Italian unification, and then Balkan events.

seems good to me. only problem is that if youre austria, you dont defenetly wanna get screwed, just sayin.

By the way the game is set, the only way to get some unifications is to play as prussia and own austria. so until there is a fix for that there is no point to play the historical scenario.

Also, it's too easy to build up a huge army. There is no real satisfaction having a million men army and pay 23 state funds per turn. It's not realistic. A million men army should be extremely expensive

Montgomery, I will be most interested to see what you come up with. I also do not see the AI form Germany or Italy.
