doesnt matter, its a generic message. only important that it ends in the country of origin, than you get some bonus for happiness and for inflation.

my observation, inflation bonus is not accumulative to reforms, so the bonus is only working for penalty effect. if you are already lower than while crisis triggered, inflation does not decline proportionally.

INFLATION makes structures x% more expensive and is NO INFLATION at all, since prices remain steady.
It has outlived itself since the 20% (5-structures)-rule is effectively penalizing you anyway.

as US you can still run with 80-150% inflation, than it gets hard. Only the prolnged time for construction is thorn in my strategy

if you are willing to wait to gather enough cash...yeah, 27% is a piece of a cake for you also have to pay

-the costs from rough terrain
- bonus/malus from administration rank
- 5-structures rule of x-times 20% costs added

truly, out of my our mod i ignore inflation...

ehm, the unhappiness DOES solve itself.

before the American Civil war i had comparable coverage of demand as you with US, had AVERAGE happiness between 50 and 60.

the normal reforms keep it a stalemate with the economic crisis system.

the goods covered shall be able to give you about 0,5% higher happiness each turn which means you can set two or three taxes/tariff to the maximum.
i always advice tariff to be set to maximum and the rest adjusted for needs (if you want support all research and so on, you can finance it with high taxes for two or three years and have two years no further tax, until next techs are sert free)

after 1870s i never ever had problems and never did fall below 85% happiness, full covered demand, techs, higher education, taxes as described, few ADDITIONAL scripted reforms like secondary education, right to vote for afro-americans, normal reforms and so on...

look into the events for France and see when it will happen, others come only from techs.
the rest is only waiting and adjusting as long militantism/militancy stays low.

and just hope that the Prussian do not still have a seizure of Paris instead of the border provinces :D

for the strikes, well i reported it a couple of times for OSCAR, for Quebec they told us it would come from the endless number of partial mobilization, but it clearly did not.

units with high police-value place in the province can hold it steady, but you /I) did not regain happiness there.

I suggested that the martial law effect is not bound on nations state (general militancy level, as i understood), but state of the province...

:bonk:

id some up this answer to a ''struggle to stay alive till napoleon gets off''
so basically I just have to patiently wait till techs reforms and politics advance while killing all militantism when it appears. hmm makes me quite passive but have no choice

by the way 3 years ago tarif was giving me most money and capital about in middle (25% for me). now it makes no changes from 0% to 45%. probably exept destroy diplomatic relations and I think lower efect of inflation right? ( I know it never stops it from touching your country I tried before)

as i said, situation depends whether you manage to have no higher negative impact from taxes, than positive from sold goods.

for your observation about tariff, maybe you changed the F1 status by getting a different ruler.
so the maximum of tarrif differs while the gained money doesnt. so you encounter a same percentage giving you fewer money. i need to look into the game again, did not play it for some days.

and yes, if you can satisfy all needs and have low militantism, about 1870/1880 in case of need of colonies happiness plus refrorms will be sufficient to regain any losses by events. At least in the past.

managed a social rank of one with Prussia and mainly USA until 1880, so my kidbrother did with Russia, highest average satisfaction level of all classes
