I am trying to learn wht to expect with PON,
Lets say I am tryng to evelope economy and order up some development in a colony, how do i know from thte game, other than experience, how long the orered development will take... is there a tool tip other other indication of how long things take?

for colonial action it is in the toolttip how many turns will be needed if it is not interrupted by chance

diplomatic action is also announced in turns (how long they last) if necessary

one turn == 15 days


for further building the game operates in days.

15 days == one turn.

you can always click on the unit or structure icon and a tooltip and a colored scale show you how long you have to wait.
you also receive information if you shuffle the mouse over a city or structure field (the cricle with tiny farms / mines)



for research it depends whether you have additional financial support ordered. a rough value is that you can expect one percent more research in a turn.
but there are variables you cannot control, speeding it up, or slowing it down.
