Hi I don't think I am going to buy this game at this stage, as I lack time to play, nevertheless I could be convinced by some exciting AARs. I am surprised to find none, there isn't even an PON AAR section on the ageod forum...
Anyone feeling like doing one for the team ?

I am assuming that there is a lack of AARs for two main reasons:
1. With a new beta patch due and an official one on the horizon at some point, I imagine that some players don't want to start an AAR until they can begin a game that won't be possibly retired prematurely if there are any incompatibility issues with save games.
2. It takes a dedicated player to start an AAR for a game with this much magnitutde and longevity.

3. People are still learning the mechanisms and strategies.
4. People understandably want screenshots, particularly in a detailed AAR. In my case, it is too time consuming to create, edit, view, host, and embed an image given the free software and level of skill I have - and a text-only AAR without images takes a lot more writing and is much less clear. This is a good reason not to write, even for a very interesting campaign.

I would love to do an AAR of PON but I can't shell to desktop without the game crashing. With ACW you could make notes as you went while making a move using notepad plus run a screen capture program. Running the game in windowed mode seems to cause lockups/crashes for me and I see a significant hit in speed if I keep other apps open.

Did an AAR with a number of screenshots.
It took about 5-7 minutes per screenshot to do it, exit, insert into paint, save, go back in to game.
It does count down the number of screenshots you can do, but it's possible.
