Unit speed on land

I've just been playing the ACW and at one point a CSA corps attacked north, beat a Union force and managed to go from Virginia to Cleveland in one turn. Even neglecting the delays caused by deploying and fighting a major battle this is a huge rate of advance for a foot and horse army. Although an indidual unit might be able to make the 15-18 miles pr day implied by this there is no way a force of 50000 men could have done it. Modern forces would have 'fun' making an advance through Pennsylvania at those rates of progress

Check under OPTIONS -> AI -> AI RANKING

The more credit you give the AI in this area, the more they 'cheat' (cohesion, supply, movement). I believe that default is giving the AI some bonus', try changing it to the second from the left (no bonus, no penalty).
