Getting province from peace deal

I occupied Parma, gained enough war points and demanded the province. Instead, they accepted my peace offer (that I hadn't made: I only demanded the province), kept Parma, and my army was kicked out! How do I make them give me the province? :bonk:

If you don't have a legitimate claim on a province, you can't receive it in a peace, even if you control it...this is XIXth century 'gentlemen's' policy :D

Even if casus belli is playing with S-P?

I know that in his post doesn´t clarify wich country is playing. But in a spanish forum some people who play with S-P are reporting the same issue.

And I believed that S-P had claims in all the other italian provinces.

Great! :coeurs:

IMO the only aspect of the game that need some serious adjustments is all the related with the diplomacy. The other areas maybe need some improvement but they are fully enjoyable. :)

This happened with me while playing Japan and demanding Okinawa from the Ryukyu's.

Glad to hear the fix is going to be in patch h.

Pocus: What about education? Will it not improve if given attention? Hardly an accurate simulation if it does not try to improve its education, no? t

So what happens if a state such as Prussia occupies Russian Poland? Will it be able to keep the provinces in Poland?

I think that this rule should be refined or at least looked into. For example Belgium and Luxembourg were both claimed at one time or another by France and Lux at least by Prussia. Poland was essentially coveted by all its occupiers, while the Ottomans had a claim to the Balkans and the Middle East.

Comlplementary question: if one fights a WWI style conflict, will nations return meekly to their previous borders? That would be unrealistic to say the least...
