Alt-tabbing during turn resolving makes the game crash

Hello,
Each time I use alt-tab during the turn resolve phase (in order to check emails, read forums, buy something...), I get an error at the end of the phase and a CTD.
I use windows 7 x64. Is this a shared bug or is it just me ?

Is there anyone who managed to keep the game working while alt-tabbing during turn resolution ?

Sometimes it crashes on me during processing, but usually it doesn't. Anecdotally I've had a little better luck with it since changing over to borderless windowed mode with the resolution set to my desktop resolution.
That setup seems fairly stable for me most of the time.

I play in win 7 x64 as well, and it doesn't crash on me when alt-tabbing, but it acts like it does. Are you talking about it crashing when you go back to the greyed-out screen and it says "PoN is not responding"? If so, you have to click "wait for a response". It will take a little while as it switches between AI turns and the supply phase, but it will go back to the game after one of these phase switches.
If this isn't what you're talking about, my apologies.

Prior to 1.01g I'd got to the point of CTD at the end of processing of every turn but it completed so when I'd relaunch the game and resume it would be the next turn. Since then only crash has been the siege bug.
However, I have noticed when alt-tabbing that the turn processing halts after the AI phase when it gets to the 15-day execution phase if the game is in the background. Tabbing back it then resumes. To me this is a good thing to always see where the battles happen. This was the case with 1.01 both before and after the end-of-processing CTDs started and still since 1.01g, so I'm pretty sure it's by design. How long are you leaving it minimized when it crashed completely?

Well, I am not sure... When I alt-tab during a phase resolution, I experience the same pause that you describe, but that's ok. Thing is at the end of the resolution, I get a crash, a long and silent crash... like nothing happens, then you understand that the game has crashed.
