Questions about armies

How does one use the special orders mentioned in the manual - "Create Army" or say "Attach Corps to Army"? I don't see either option included with the other special orders. Thanks for any help.

Well, I believe it works like AACW, and if that's the case then it works like this:
1) You need a 3 star general
2) You need an HQ
3) Put the general and HQ in a stack together and then you should see an action button that lets you create an army.
One thing to keep in mind though, there may be some restrictions on it. For example, maybe you are limited to only 2 armies and 2 already exist. Hopefully this helps.

Oh, and to attach a corp to an army is pretty simple. Just find a good 2 star or 3 star general, doesn't matter which. Place in a separate stack from your army, but in the same or a nearby region. Then there should be a button that lets you attach it to your army.

I maybe wrong, but I think those buttons and concepts do not exist in PoN. If I understood correctly the manual, the system is more simpler, (somewhat akin to BOA), ie, a stack with a 3 star general is called an army (no HQ units, no buttons to create armies), and armies can move synchronized with other armies, while a stack with a 2 star is called "what you want" (ie, a "Corps"), but not with the formal command chain of AACW.
This may be an oversimplification, but in view of the game scale and the different army organizations around the globe, it probably is a good decision.

thanks for the replies. I'm guessing that things have been simplified as Franciscus mentioned, however, Create Army/Attach Corps are listed in the manual under the Special Orders section. Hopefully that will get an update if those commands aren't in the game.
So, for a commander and chief to confer a bonus, does he just have to be in the theatre? Does he have to be attached to the stack?

This is an error in the manual yes, the part must have slipped past proofreaders. There is no army/corps hierarchy in PON. A 3* stack IS an army. A 2* integrated to a corps unit is a corps.

Focus, by "integrating a corps" does that mean that I can combine several brigades under a leader and click "form corps" and then move that corps into an army container?
Are there any containers- divisions, corps, etc- that are formed by combining units, or do we just drop brigades into an army container without forming them into divisions or corps? I Would hate to see an army commander with 8 brigades attached and no corps or division leadership at all.
