Great! A physical box game. Something I can hold and see in my hands!
Thank you.
Maybe one day ROP in a box?

I like the art. It invokes thoughts of the famous illustration of Cecil Rhodes standing on Africa.

Now this my friends, truly is a cover worthy of the 19th century, especially concerning the international politics of the 1850s onwards era. But you can still see slight, well, resentment from our wonderful French developers here, when the Englishmen over Africa is replaced by a French soldier with a Légion d'Honneur. I have tears in my eyes already. This will be a work of art, I can tell you that already.
Furthermore, it comes out in March. I'll be damned if this won't be one of the best birthday presents ever.

Excellent...
Je dirais même que cela risque d'attirer également des gens qui ne sont pas interessés à ce genre de jeu...
Bon, l'image est un peu grande pour un forum

Great news. Seems that finally I will be able to get an Ageod game in a box. I hope a big, fat and juicy manual+map+charts, etc. is also in the plans
(I do not like pdf manuals...

)
I have just one question ? Who served as a model to the valiant colonial soldier ?
Maybe some programmer that we know ??

Just to be prudent ... The fact that this is a box cover don't mean we are 100% absolutly sure there will be a box. It will really depends of Paradox here.
The soldier is made after Cpt Marchand poster.

Jean Baptiste Marchand; posing for posterity on his return to France (1899), after the Congo-Nil expedition and the Fachoda "incident".

It looks pretty much like this:

Africa under boots !
One empire goes another comes to govern with "pride"..
It is a realistic and strong image of the era but doesnt look sympathetic at all in this era. Maybe paradox should change that, needs more creativity than that.

"Vainglory" would have been more apt
