Gas

It's written into the rules :
Usage #2: Attack value (short-lived usage)
This second use is limited in time. A Gas may be used during 3 consecutive
turns (usage turn + two others). Afterwards, this Gas becomes obsolete for
this usage

Questions :
1) The gas may be used during 3 turns into a single battle or 3 turns for the whole game ? (and it's finished for that gas for the remainding of the game) ?

2) Do the 3 turns available for a single player or for both players at the same time ?
For example : the German player can use a new gas from Mai to Juillet and the allies can use it from Juillet to September .
Or it is : If the German use the new gas in Mai, all the players can only use that gas until Juillet and it's finished.
What is the correct answer ?
Thanks.

Ok, here I am.

Each type of Combat Gas (Chlorine, Mustard, Phosgene), once adopted, can be used max three times.

When successfully used in battle, it has an initial attack force, that downgrades progressively by 1 point each battle round.

The three times max usage is measured in number of usages per side, as stated in GameRules.CSV DB, row MGU (#241):

MGU 3 1 Maximum number of usages of single Gas (per side)

So every time you use a combat gas for the fourth or fifth... time, that gas has practically no effect on enemy troops! :(

Thanks

Am I correct in understanding that before any gas can be used in battle, it needs the 'Combat Gas' tactic to be discovered, & that gas can only be used in Grand Offensives?

Yes, you are correct. You can use gas in all offensives' related battles.
