A few suggestions for Africa, New Guinea and China.

There should be an historical event for the taking over of German New Guinea in October 1914 by the British. This was done by Australian forces. The numbers involved were too low on both sides to warrant a game unit. This would prevent it from being used as a German naval base.
There should be a unit in South Africa to prevent the German forces in German South West Africa taking control (maybe a fortress garrison, immoveable?). Then in 1915 there should be a South African corps there to invade German South West Africa.
Also an Historical event for the Japanese attack on Tsing-tau (German China)? Maybe a month or two after they come into the war a corps or army is auto transferred to there?

An event will do nicely. I agree

We can work this from the 1914 setup indeed. Note that, theoretically, it would take time for the Germans to conquer South Africa, even if empty of troops...but we shall fix that...

It is already in the game

Ok all good.
Except the part about the Japanese event is already in the game?
I have started up 4 campaigns now, 2 getting to 1915, and I haven't seen it happen yet?

I can confirm this. I am up to Jan-Feb 1919 in the 2player GC and have not seen this event. Japan has been my ally since late 1916 or early 1917.

This was an "automatic" occurrence upon diplomatic event for Japan's entrance into war (Qin Tao automatically occupied). Then we removed the "event", so forcing the player controlling Japan to send the troops there. In fact, Qin Tao has a fortress (+ garrison) to be besieged.

Make sure it doesn’t fire if
a) the Germans put a garrison there (even a ship should do)
b) The Germans have controlled the sea zone in the preceding turns

Why not give the Japanese a navel transport capacity in the game – would allow them to go on a conquest spree as they did historically taking all German positions north of the equator.
Would also allow them to wage on China-Russia if things go that way.
An event allowing them to ship some forces to Europe (part of the BEF one presume) might be fun and not that far-fetched.

You are perfectly right! All minors have now zero sea transport capacity!
I will set this value to
2 (
two) immediately! Next patch.

Yes, the Japanese navy was active in the Mediterranean during the war.

The boardgame has a South African corps in the home country? WW1 doesn't?

The 1st South African Brigade was on western front late 1915/1916. In the game a South African corps appears on the western front 1915. A bit much just to represent a brigade?
Should this unit instead come on as a reinforcement in South Africa to represent the forces there that invaded German South West Africa?

...........More seriously, the only "Minors" that should be given one are: Belgium, Holland, Portugal and Greece (+ Japan if considered as a 'minor'
