I have noticed that the text size for some events is so small it is not readable. Like the following:
Can this be changed?
Also with ships with long names the name is so small its unreadable:
Can this be fixed?

We need to include scroll bars for solving this problem. And it's scheduled for the December patch.
For the ship names, the only other way is to use "shorter" versions, such as 'Prince of Wales' --> 'Pr. Wales'

May have to go with the abbreviated ship names then?
Also as with the attachment the end part of the red message gets covered up, and even if I get rid of the unit box it drops down off the edge of the screen to become unreadable.

You can use the chat button, the middle one on the bottom right side. You can then also scroll through previous messages.
