Runyan appears to be setting up a play for Nashville.
I don't know Runyan's normal playing style, but I expect that he will play aggressively to make up points... We'll see. This should be a fun game.
Housekeeping note - I'm going to delay posting my comments to try to synchronize with Manstein's AAR. The other round got a bit jumbled.
EDIT: Belay that - Manstein does a great job of posting the AAR, so I'll just post my summary at the end.

I will post the AAR at the same fashion that the previous game: I will post the AAR with 5 turns of delay. So, I will post the first turn resolution when the players go by his sixth turn.

Runyan must be smiling a little - I just lost USA '2 Landing Force' at Galveston TX (Turn 10). They went in hot (assault mode) and the CSA sent in a force to meet them at the beaches - a Brigade + Sailors were wiped out.
USA '1 Landing Force' and 'Butler' still pose a nuisance to Runyan.

In that Transmississippi screen, I never saw McCook's force next to Ft. Smith. It seems there are some aspects of FOW I am not completely familiar with, or else a bug. I can't see them until they move to Little Rock, next turn, which made their sudden appearance rather troublesome.
In general, super deep cavalry raids are far too easy to pull off at this time. Cohesion loss for cavalry in enemy territory is too low. Sending CSA cavalry to Chicago, or USA cavalry to Mobile, is now far too common in game.

I think they move too damn fast. Yeah a cohesion loss might be a good way of modeling the death of the majority of the horses halfway to Chicago.

At day 11, there was a battle at Corinth. The result is a little odd, but it is because the Hardee´s Corps turned to the gun´s sound, but the original rebel forces (Johnston Army) was destroyed:

Yes that battle at Corinth is a good example of the bug where corps who march do not appear in the summary. Hardee had a 3 division corps fight from those entrenchments and rout Wallace.
This is a good battle for me, but the destruction of the army HQ means that Sidney Johnston is wounded for two turns, and my corps are disbanded, creating a momentary crisis of command. Luckily, the scenario features an extra HQ at Montgomery, so I've got to get Beauregard and that HQ to the scene ASAP to take command of the army.

After repelling Wallace twice, and with Bearegard now in place, the Army of the Tenessee is in high feather.
Down south, I suspect that YH's intent in sending all the cavalry to Mississippi is to locate my coastal reaction force, and this turn he finds Breckinridge in Alabama.

Not really shown in that shot but Kirby Smith retreats north to Carthage, putting him out of position. He's no longer blocking the way to Chattanooga, which causes some displeasure on my part. Now there is nothing left to do but to footrace Rosecrans back to Chattanooga. It's also time to abandon and sabotage all of middle Tenessee.
Down at New Orleans, Butler appears offshore again, this time with cavalry blocking the rail line. I've got one brigade dug in at New Orleans, but it is very unclear to me what will happen if YH makes an all out invasion of that city next turn.
Overall, I'm very uncomfortable with the situation.

runyan - it pleases me to discomfort you, if I can make you more uncomfortable I will but I'm not doing such a good job of it...
Thanks for posting about the Battle in Corinth where your HQ was destroyed. I couldn't understand why I lost so many men and then why they ran away - now I know that another Corps was involved.

In reference to the battle at Chattanooga, are the river crossing penalties for combat gone or not working? As you can see in the battle report screen, there is no river crossing icon listed for the Union force, although they obviously had to cross the Tennessee to attack Chattanooga.

I wonder if the delay in combat affected that. If it takes more than a day or two maybe it's not considered a river crossing. Just conjecturing.
