Unable to Start

I have recently converted by machine to Windows 7 from XP/SP 2. Now WW1G 1.08P will not start, but reaches "Initializing" and freezes. Using the XP/SP 2 Compatibility Mode the startup refuses to recognize the serial number. Help. I want to keep playing this game.

Hmm, first of all, try to disable UAT in the Control Panel if I remember correctly. That seems to collide with the game (and a big annoyance in general). If that is not enough, right-click on the icon of the game and choose "run as administrator"

Do you mean the UAC?
